Sell a domain name
Received an offer, or wondering what your name is worth?
Our core business is the acquisition of domains on behalf of buyers. Alongside that we take on selected sales mandates for high-value domain names. We have brokered domains into the seven-figure range.
I have received an offer for my domain — what now?
An offer is a starting point, not a price. Whether it is a reasonable one depends on what the name is actually worth. We place the offer in context using comparable sales and, if you wish, negotiate on your behalf from there.
Send us the domain and the offer you have received. We will call you back, put the offer in context and go through your options with you. If you wish, we take the negotiation from there on your behalf.
Either the seller or the buyer — never both. If we have already been instructed by a buyer for a domain, we will not take a sales mandate for that same domain. And the other way round.
So it is always clear whose interests we are working for. We are paid solely by the side that instructed us. If you have received an offer from us, we say plainly that we are acting for a buyer in that matter.
What is my domain worth?
A domain has no fixed market price. Its value comes from the name itself, from comparable sales, and above all from who it is commercially relevant to:
- Comparable sales: what similar names in the same extension have actually achieved
- Pool of buyers: how many companies the name is an obvious fit for
- The name itself: length, pronounceability, extension and possible trademark ties
A first assessment costs you nothing. Send us the domain and you will hear what range it realistically sits in.
What we do for you
You appear nowhere publicly: no entry in sales listings, no disclosure to interested parties, and no publication of the closing — neither names nor prices, unless you expressly agree to it. A confidentiality agreement is possible at any time.
In suitable cases we can act as the contracting party towards the buyer ourselves, so that your name does not appear there. This requires a separate agreement and is not possible for every domain or every mandate. It changes nothing about our fee — the agreed commission stands.
Every transaction runs differently. That is why we set out in writing, before we start, what applies to everyone involved:
- The minimum price below which no sale takes place
- The term of the mandate
- The level of commission
- Responsibilities, and how payment and transfer are handled
Our success commission is normally 12 % of the sale price. Depending on the domain and the expected effort, a minimum commission may also apply. All terms are agreed in writing before the mandate begins.
If no sale comes about, no success commission is charged.
We do not take on every domain. If we see no realistic pool of buyers, we say so rather than accept a mandate that moves nothing for months.
