Because the first email often decides the price. As soon as an owner knows who is asking — particularly when the buyer is an established company or a recognisable brand — the asking price tends to rise with that knowledge.

As an independent intermediary we can establish whether the owner is willing to sell at all, and on what terms, before your name is part of the conversation.

Not unless you want them to. We approach owners on behalf of a client without naming you. At some point in a transaction the buyer usually has to be disclosed — the contract and the transfer require it — but by then the price has been agreed.

Most of the names we acquire were never listed for sale. An owner who has not thought about selling is not the same as an owner who refuses to. Part of our work is finding out which of the two you are dealing with, and what would change their mind.

That depends entirely on the owner. Some deals are agreed within days, others need weeks of back and forth, and some owners take months to reply at all. We tell you what we are seeing as we go, so you always know whether a name is moving or not.

Through an established escrow service such as Escrow.com, escrow.domains or Sedo.com. The buyer pays into escrow, the owner transfers the domain, and the money is only released once the transfer is complete. Neither side has to go first.

The first consultation is free. If we succeed, our commission is added to the purchase price of the domain. If we do not succeed, no commission is charged.
